Welcome to our Sugarhouse...

My husband and I were born and raised in Vermont. We grew up in the region that we now live and where we raised our three children. We take great pride in our natural, high-quality maple products from the heart of Vermont and can't wait to share them with you! I am positive that I speak for our entire family when I say maple sugaring runs in the blood. Once you start the Vermont tradition, you will want it to continue on and on for generations to come.

Our sugarbush is nestled in the Pleasant Valley of Underhill, Vermont at the base of Mount Mansfield. We feel that the location and terrain of our sugarbush contribute to the flavor of our maple products. We use a traditional wood-fired arch that we fuel with dead and wind-fallen trees, which serves as a source of fuel while keeping our sugarbush well maintained.

Although the majority of our sap is vacuumed to the sugar house through tubing every year we hang a handful of stainless steel buckets from the tree trunks surrounding our home for old time's sake. It brings back the memories of days gone by when horse-drawn wagons were used to gather and haul sap to the sugarhouse.

Many visitors come to Vermont for the brilliant colors during the fall foliage (We love Leaf Peepers!). They come back in the winter for the fresh powder slopes. Soon they return summertime camping and hiking. But, if you want a true taste of Vermont I would recommend visiting in early spring when the nights are cold and the days are gently warming, allowing the sap to flow. You'll see steam rising from the hills and cold-hollows throughout the state, and if you come close enough you will smell a hint of maple in the air.

Stop by a sugarhouse, taste the grade of the day, ask some questions and listen to old stories and tales. A sugarhouse is a gathering place, and everyone is welcome. We appreciate being able to share our trade and hope to make new friends in the process.  Our goal is to produce 100% pure maple syrup (we like to call it liquid gold!) and share it from our family's table to yours. Let us serve your maple needs. We have to say that there is nothing quite like pure, natural Vermont Maple Syrup poured over vanilla ice cream with a sprinkle of walnuts or on a steaming plate of pancakes or waffles. Visit our shop to view our products and see what we mean!

Sincerely, Jon and Lisa Fuller
